Fuel Gas System
The natural gas system supplies natural gas to the burners and controls the rate at which fuel flows into the combustion chambers in accordance with the requirements of start up, operation and shutdown. In addition it is used to shut off the flow of natural gas to the gas turbine under certain conditions. Dry, clean natural gas must be supplied to the natural gas system in order to prevent corrosion, erosion and the formation of deposits on the system components. The pressure of the natural gas at the natural gas system inlet must be relatively constant regardless of the rate at which it is supplied.
